Objective: through this project, the IJC aimed to diminish the effects of disinformation during the electoral campaign through innovative tools that help consumers of journalistic products to filter media content.
Activities: monitoring the behavior of journalists and media outlets on the social network Facebook and assessing the credibility of information portals.
Results: the IJC has launched two comprehensive studies on the behavior of journalists and newsrooms on Facebook during the electoral campaign, with valuable recommendations for the media community. The IJC also provided media consumers with an innovative tool – Media RADAR – through which they can verify the credibility of the information sources they turn to on a daily basis.
