Who are the enemies of the press?

A free press is an essential element for a viable democracy. High-ranking public officials who breach this principle must be held to account. In the column Enemies of the Press, we describe cases in which public officers and civil servants—both in Moldova and abroad—threaten media representatives by using obscene language, behaving violently, or by restricting freedom of expression and access to information of public interest.
