Audience Understanding and Digital Support (AUDS)

- Project period: June 2018–November 2022
- Sponsors: Sweden, supported by Internews
- Objective: The project supported media outlets in Moldova to create quality media content and to increase their financial sustainability through a better understanding of the needs of their audiences.
- Activities: Annual mini grant competitions to help media outlets extend their audiences; training programs for preselected media outlets involving foreign experts; specialized in-house or online advice for selected media partners in such areas as audience analysis (Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, etc.), content production planning, improving online content, advertising sales and online monetization.
- Results: In 2018-2022, within the project, 16 grants worth 5 000 Euros each and two grants worth 10 000 Euros each were offered for implementing the initiatives aimed at expanding the audience and increasing the income. Media partners benefited from professional consultations (in-house and online), which allowed them to better understand the needs of the audience and create quality content according to their needs.
