Media NGOs condemn Minister Vladimir Bolea’s inappropriate behavior of using offensive language against a journalist

Media Non-Government Organizations condemn strongly the unacceptable behavior of Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea towards a journalist during a press conference on Thursday, 14 September. The dignitary used foul language against the journalist.
To be more precise, when the reporter asked if the State provided support to apple farmers, Minister Vladimir Bolea used licentious language that impinged on his honor and dignity as a human being, and violated the behavioral norms generally accepted in a democratic society.
The signatory organizations express their outrage over this defiant behavior and believe that such language is incompatible with the position of a minister.
We call upon the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, to make sure that disciplinary action is taken against Minister Vladimir Bolea in line with Article 22(2)(j) of the Law on the Government.
We vehemently condemn any form of intolerance towards journalists and media outlets and urge all dignitaries to adopt a respectful language and decent behavior towards the press.
