Truth Connects: Amplifying Media Literacy and Engaging Youth to Counter Disinformation

- Purpose: The project aims to strengthen Moldovan citizens’ resilience to disinformation by producing impactful video content for diverse audiences and enhancing collaboration between partners to ensure the widespread dissemination of accurate information.
- Activities: The project included the production of video content focused on promoting media literacy and critical thinking, a contest for school students, and training sessions for students at the Moldova School of Journalism. The project was implemented by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) and the Moldovan School of Journalism.
- Results: Over 80 video materials were created and distributed on various platforms managed by the Independent Journalism Center and the Moldovan School of Journalism, reaching over 1 million views; 13 content creators were trained to produce educational and engaging video materials; 37 students from across the country improved their critical thinking and digital content creation skills through the contest “Video(s)cool: Create and Inform!”.
