Building cohesion in Moldova through promoting social inclusion and diminishing discrimination

Objective: The project aimed to increase the visibility of socially vulnerable and marginalized groups and amplify their voices through information, training, and human rights advocacy activities.

Activities: A multimedia lab and a hackathon involving socially vulnerable and marginalized groups; awareness-raising activities and media literacy workshops for representatives of these groups.

Results: 280 representatives of vulnerable groups participated in 10 media literacy workshops organized by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC); 4 multimedia projects were launched following the “Innovation for Inclusion” lab; 3 teams implemented projects designed to foster inclusion as a result of the “Solutions for Inclusion” hackathon; over 30 media products were created and disseminated as part of the “Inclusion Starts with Me” campaign; two media outlets received support and produced journalistic content focused on topics related to inclusion and social cohesion.
