Fostering social cohesion and trust through media literacy and inclusive media content

- Purpose: Promoting inclusion and social cohesion by supporting media institutions in producing quality media and diverse media content, and strengthening media literacy among community leaders of civil society.
- Activities: Providing grants for media outlets, organizing media literacy trainings, and producing video content and the cuMINTE podcast.
Results: Three media outlets received support to produce journalistic content promoting social cohesion in partnership with civil society organizations, resulting in the publication of more than 40 media products in various formats. In addition, 25 representatives of civil society organizations were trained in media literacy and subsequently organized more than 60 educational activities in over 30 localities across the Republic of Moldova, reaching nearly 1,500 beneficiaries. The project also produced two podcasts on social cohesion and a series of video materials explaining the concepts of inclusion and social cohesion, as well as the role of media literacy in building a more cohesive society.
