Media Enabling Democracy, Inclusion and Accountability in Moldova (MEDIA-M)

Project period: April 2017–July 2023
Donors: US Agency for International Development (USAID) and UK; implemented by Internews Moldova
Objective: The Independent Journalism Center will use the MEDIA-M program to support the independent press in Moldova and to help develop objective and professional sources of information.
Activities: Training programs for journalists; activities to build critical thinking skills by launching products intended for media consumers; teacher training to promote the Media Education course; grants to support campaigns against disinformation in the media and to create new opportunities for media outlets; media monitoring and research activities; protection of and advocacy for the legal rights of journalists and media outlets.
